Meet the beautiful baby girl and handsome baby boy B.  They were both just 4 little lbs and about 8 inches long when they were born a month or so ago!  Dad finally brought them home, and I must admit -  I was a bit nervous because I typically like to shoot within 14 days of a baby’s birth because otherwise they don’t sleep deeply enough to allow for posing in all those yummy curly newborn ways!   And I won’t say I was completely wrong to be worried , (they didn’t really like being moved once asleep!)  but I will say that it was completely worth it. I think you will agree!

Dear B. family – thank you for letting me capture these precious first moments.  I hope we get to document many more milestones together in the future!

I have to admit I got very excited when I met baby Max.. he has such beautiful features. Quite a little photogenic man don’t you think?

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many giant grins from one newborn before!  I guess he knows how lucky he is to be born to such wonderful parents… congratulations R family on your gorgeous new addition!

I just wanted to share a few images of baby Reese who I photographed months ago but got so busy I didn’t have time to blog!  But how could I not share a few images of this little beauty?  She is so tiny and perfect, and looks JUST like her gorgeous mommy!

I look forward to many more years of photographing this precious face!

It was very very hard for me when my maternity leave was up and I had to bring my three month old to daycare. Heartbreaking actually. But knowing that he was in the loving and capable hands of his daycare teachers did ease the blow considerably. One of those teachers gave birth recently to her second child and I was honored to capture his newborn sweetness with (I hope) as much care as she gave my son for the first 18 months of his young life!

Congratulations K family! Jasper and I couldn’t be happier for you!

When Ellis’ mom called to book her session and told me she was expecting a girl I squealed with delight – a GIRL!  I’ve been on a very long unbroken streak of photographing newborn boys and I was so excited to get to use all the girly headbands and accessories I’d been collecting for months.

And as luck would have it, Ellis was not only a girl, but an exquisitely beautiful one at that – this baby girl was born camera ready!  Meet Ellis Grace, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl..
