Chloe & Family {Rockland County NY Family Photography}

Chloe and Jasper are daycare buddies,  so of course I was thrilled when her mom Roxana inquired about booking a session.  Not just because I’ve known Chloe since she was an infant, but because she is without a doubt the most stylish toddler I’ve ever met, which of course is because her mother has an incredible fashion flair -  no surprise given that she is French!

Baby Bodhi, Nine Days Old {Nyack, NY Newborn Photographer}

I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Janaki’s little newborn Bodhi this Saturday! Janaki was the subject of two stunning maternity photoshoots so I was really excited to meet this boy on the “outside.”   I think the excitement was mutual, because Bodhi did NOT want to sleep for me.. I was there for almost 5 hours and I think he slept maybe a total of 30 minutes the whole time! And even then, he definitely didn’t like to be moved once asleep (can you blame him?) so he definitely made us work for it.. but it was worth it.

Congratulations Ja & Kevin! Jasper and I  look forward to many playdates in the future, I have a feeling that Bodhi and Jasper have a similar nature and will probably be thick as thieves  :)

A Complete Family Portrait {Nyack NY Photographer}

When Heather contacted me about wanting to set up a family portrait session I was so excited, but I admit that my excitement turned into slight apprehension when I learned that she wanted to include the family dog and that her daughter Peyton was 15 months old.  Four subjects, two of whom could potentially be very uncooperative we would need to have a lot of skill, a lot of patience and little bit luck on our  side. And you know what? Sometimes it’s the hardest shoots that get the best results because I think we got several AMAZING images, dog, toddler, beautiful mom and handsome dad and all!

And even though she made me work incredibly hard for it, I finally managed to get a little smile out of Miss Peyton!

Ashley and Family

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ashley’s mom Jane from Jasper’s pediatrician’s office since before Jasper was born.. and truth be told, I’ve spent waaaaay too much time there over the past 17 months! Sometimes I think we should just move in ;)  But I had only had the pleasure of meeting Ashley once briefly, but it was enough to be so excited to do her shoot this past weekend.

Ashley apparently did NOT share my enthusiasm.  But with the help of her large furry friend Georgie:

Family Portraits

I got to spend Sunday afternoon with the beautiful C. family – what a pleasure!   Little brother Y. and big brother Y were perfect little models – they even looked at the camera from time to time – a photographer’s dream!  Little Y was such a good sitter, and thankfully in an amazing mood when I arrived:
